Roger Williams, a resident of Warkworth for the past 15 years, lives at the Warkworth Oaks Retirement Village located in the heart of the CBD.
He is deeply involved in conservation efforts through Forest and Bird, Warkworth Area, and has contributed to the Tawharanui Regional Park and Open Sanctuary.
Since moving to Warkworth, Roger has actively promoted responsible growth through community engagement.
Roger’s professional career as a design engineer provided him with the opportunity to collaborate closely with architects, fuelling his lifelong passion for drawing. In recent years, he has focused on creating paintings in watercolour and ink, with these sketches serving to portray the enduring character of the town.
