Bob Deans spent the vast majority of his life in The Meat Game, from helping with deliveries for his father's butcher shop in Arbroath, Scotland, to owning and running "Sensational Sausages" in Orakei, Auckland, via Canada and Australia.
The autobiographical "The Great New Zealand Sausage Trail and Other Meaty Stories" is his first attempt at writing, but he now has the bug and is embarking on writing fictional short stories.
